March sees the launch of our referral program. This new initiative has been established out of an increase in the number of customers that have been referred to us from our existing contact base - YOU. Thank you so much for your referrals to date, we really appreciate this and are glad that we have been a positive influence on your business and IT requirements. See more information below.

This month also sees the introduction of a new service - TechScout, this service is a remote monitoring system for businesses. A small addition to your monthly contract will provide a daily audit of your network and will alert us of any issues that we need to deal with.

This months news focuses on online protection, whether you're shopping online or if your kids have just got their first laptop, we've got a couple of useful websites for you to look at. We also have a link to more information about the delay of the launch of Microsoft Vista, see below.

Referral program
In recognition of your continued support, I would like to propose that all referees receive a commission of 5% of the gross value of all services performed as a result of your referral for a period of 6 months. This excludes all existing relationships, and will be valid from the date of this eNews. We recognise that your reputations are at stake and we respect the bond between you and your referral, which we would protect in respect of this relationship.

TechScout
We have recently purchased a remote tracking systems which enables us to track the health of your network remotely. The benefit to you being a more proactive approach to your IT problems. Even for the experts IT can be unpredictable to say the least. We make every effort to attend to and prevent IT problems before they occur, however it's not always possible to anticipate things that go wrong.

The remote tracking system enables us to take a view of the health of your network anywhere via the internet and will notify us immediately of any issues we should deal with.

Let me give you an example: whilst we were test driving the service with one of our clients we were notified of over 1000 attempts to hack into their network. Fortunately they were secure and the hack was not successful, however this notification alerted us to a predator that we may not have been aware of otherwise. Here are some other benefits and options that are available with this service:

  • Prevent problems before they occur, saving you money on potential recovery costs
  • View the status of your system online anytime
  • Receive daily automated emails showing the results of the Daily Safety Check
