- Ensure you back up (remotely wherever possible)
- Get MSN (instant messenger), Skype and or webcam and ask your colleagues in the office to do the same.
- Have a dedicated area in your home to work from.

NATIONAL WORK FROM HOME DAY - FRIDAY 5TH MAY
As part of a Work Wise UK initiative Friday 5 th May is the 'National work from home day''. This is your opportunity to prove to your boss that working from home is an option, here are some convincing arguments to present to your boss:
- Increases productivity through a results based approach
- Wide spread availability of broadband means connectivity is vastly improved (only use this one if you have broadband installed already)
- Removes the need to travel, in itself a great saving in time, making you more productive, less stressed and happier, especially if you have family commitments.
- You would be contributing to the general improvement of the environment by reducing congestion around town.
